Guest room can accommodate up to 4 persons, while the maximum number of persons in every guest room may change subject to any updates on Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation implemented by the Government. Hotel will apply room sterilization fee HK$1,200 to all hotel guests if they are confirmed positive result of Covid-19 during stay.

 

All guests are required to fill in a health declaration form. Guest who refuses to fill in the health declaration form, the hotel may decline guests check in.

 

The hotel reserves the right to seek all remedies available by law for any false statement.

 

Under the new normal of anti- epidemic, we shall focus on protecting the safety of hotel guests and staff by preventing the spread of infection, and ensuring service quality and guest satisfactory as well, therefore the corresponding policies and procedures are introduced as below:

  • If any staff is diagnosed, he / she will be asked to stay at home. He/ She is required to obtain negative results on any two subsequent consecutive days before back to work
  • Comprehensive disinfection will be applied in the hotel area

 

Caring for our guests and staff is the long-standing belief of ALVA HOTEL BY ROYAL. The hotel will provide assistance to the staff. Above arrangement may change subject to any changes on Prevention and Control of Disease Regulation implemented by the Government without notice. ALVA HOTEL BY ROYAL will review the situation on regular basis and reserves the right of final decision in case of any disputes.

 

The hotel will continue to implement highest possible anti-pandemic and public hygiene measures to maintain in public safety and health for all staff and guests.

 

 

Precautionary Measures for COVID-19

 

All hotel areas

  • Applied PrimeShield Residual Antimicrobial Protector in public areas such as hotel lobby, elevator, restaurants, gym room, washroom and staff canteen for reducing virus and bacteria effectively by 99.9% for at least 6 months.
  • Increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfection of carpets at entrances with disinfectant every hour; public area such as lifts, elevators, telephones, washrooms and lobby with disinfectant every two hours; clean and disinfect the air-conditioning system at least once per week and strengthen cleaning and disinfection of air filters.
  • Set up Hygiene Check Station at every hotel entrance with disinfected carpet and hand sanitizer.

 

Banquet service

  • Ensure the adequate washrooms and Hygiene Check Station within the event venue, banquet staff indicate the location of personal hygiene equipment for event guests.

  

F&B service

  • Guests are required to wear surgical mask before being seated, and guests who are not wearing a surgical mask are not welcomed.
  • Increase the distance between the food on the buffet table and put some food in small dishes.
  • Guests are required to wear surgical mask when collecting food on buffet table.
  • Strengthen the cleaning and disinfection of air-conditioning system, restaurant and kitchen area including cooking utensils and tablewares.
  • Strictly implement food safety guidelines for food handling to ensure food hygiene, such as avoiding prolonged food displaying, placing independent food tongs on buffet table, and monitoring the hygiene condition of restaurants and follow up in due course.
  • If guests have special dining requests, hotel will make arrangements accordingly.

 

Accommodation 

  • Strengthen the cleaning and disinfection of room facilities including carpet, air-conditioning filter, bathroom air intake vent and bathroom drain, etc.
  • All guests are requested to have body temperature checked on a daily basis and fill in a health declaration form while checking in.
  • The hotel does not accept any guest who self-quarantine.
  • If guest is suffered from fever or other influenza-like symptoms, guest will be advised to wear a surgical mask and seek medical advice promptly.
  • Suggest in-house guests to dine in hotel restaurants or order room service.
  • If guests have special room requests, hotel will make arrangements accordingly.

 

Staff measures

  • All staff must measure body temperature, disinfect hands and wear surgical mask before entering hotel, and all food-handling staff must wear gloves and surgical mask during duty.
  • Provide staff with guidelines on proper wearing of surgical mask and use of hand sanitizer, personal hygiene and body temperature check.
  • If staff has body temperature over 37.5 degrees Celsius or influenza-like symptoms, he or she will be arranged to seek medical advice and refrain from work.
  • Strengthen the cleaning and disinfection of staff changing rooms and staff canteen, reduce the maximum number of people in staff canteen, staff must wash their hands before and after meals and wear surgical mask all the time (except having meals).

 

Swimming Pool and Gym Room

*The opening depends on latest directions under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F) and the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap. 599G)

  • Guests are required to have body temperature check before entering Health Club and wear surgical mask before and after exercise.
  • Hand sanitizer is provided for guests inside Health Club and gym facilities will be cleaned and disinfected before and after each use.
  • Partitions are installed between some gym facilities.
  • Gym Room is temporarily closed during two cleaning periods daily for disinfection.

Warm reminder: Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces e.g. furniture, toilet, bath room and floor to kill virus at least daily by using 1:99 household bleach, wait until dry and then rinse with water.

We strive to safeguard your health by maintaining high hygiene standards. Our housekeeping team works hard to keep hotel public areas clean every day such as increasing cleaning frequency of public places such as lifts and public facilities, placing hand rub facilities on guest room floors and public areas and refill the disinfectant regularly.
